NG/Poon is a Hong Kong government licensed recruitment company. It was established more than 20 years ago in Hong Kong on August 31 1993 to engage in the business of providing executive search services to multinational corporations operating in Hong Kong, The People’s Republic of China, and Asia Pacific countries.
In its early years, the company served a multitude of international clients in banking, manufacturing and consumer goods such as Standard Chartered Bank, HSBC, Exxon Chemical, Mobile Oil, Schneider Electric, (Alcatel) Lucent Technologies, Owens Illinois Packaging, Philip Morris, Kraft General Foods, and many more.
In recent years, management has chosen to specialize primarily on Financial Services plus a few long term industrial clients. HSBC Asia Pacific/Hang Seng Bank remain at the core with the addition of the world’s number 2 investment manager Vanguard in the financial services portfolio, whereas the world’s largest energy management multinational Schneider Electric stays on board after 15 years.
It is Ng/Poon’s policy to go where the clients’ recruitment efforts require, to the furthest geographical extent possible, provided the sourcing of candidates is deemed possible and efficient to the benefit of the client. Over the years, while assignments for core vacancies to be filled are primarily Hong Kong/China-based, successful candidates originate not only from Hong Kong, China, Singapore, Malaysia, but also from as far as Australia, the UK, Canada and the USA.
In terms of functional specialization, Ng/Poon has hired in the last 20 years mid-senior executive level candidates in almost every sphere of operation at the corporate and business unit level – sales and marketing, customer service, procurement, finance & accounting, human resources; as well as plant managers, general managers, technical specialists and engineering managers, production managers, and supply chain.
Ng/Poon is more than an executive search company. It is also experienced in bulk recruitment and contract hires, sourcing as well as leasing administration with back-to-back arrangements with clients.
